Wood turned pieces have been used for furniture from the beginning of turning. Making a wood turned chair is a wonderful way to acknowledge the history of the chair and to end up with a wonderful functional item.

		Turning a miniature stool by Alan Liland
In this wonderful tutorial, Alan shows us how to make a small ~6" turned wood stool. This is a great project for people who love miniatures and also for people that want to "practice" before making a full sized model. Alan makes what for many people is a complex 3D project into a simple set of steps resulting in a great project. I hope that you give it a try!

	A Four-Post Turned Chair by Tom Rettie
In this project, Tom shows us how he makes a chair similar in design to those made in the 14th to 16 centuries. Tom uses a homemade flywheel treadle lathe keeping in tune with the time period. This is a wonderful Renaissance piece and a great project to make.
