Bird FeederFor many of us, bird watching is enjoyable hobby. You've got to love the performances and antics of all the different birds as they fly about searching for food. I find it amazing to watch all the bright colors and different species that come to my garden, it's a wonderful way to spend a few minutes, or even the best part of the day if you can manage it.
You probably already know that one of the best ways to attract birds to your garden is with a feeder. It's not hard to make a wood bird feeder, and it's even more fun to make one on the lathe. | | Birdie Bisto by Wood Magazine | | You’ll love to watch the birds gather around this turned feeder.
This is a wonderful turned project for a beginner. It's only 2 turned parts; the top and the bottom. The center is a plastic tube (think soda bottle).
In no time at all, your local birds will be eating at your feeder! |
 | | Flower Blossom Hummingbird Feeder by Wood Magazine | | Create a buzz in your neighborhood with this alluring turning project. A source for the glass reservoir tube is included.
Featured in the June/July 2006 issue. |
