Wood turned fruit is very popular. It's a great display item for your home and looks quite good in a wood turned bowl. Choose your type of fruit as they can all pretty much be turned. Some additional carving might help some of them look more realistic!

This project of making wooden fruit comes from Keith's wonderful wood called, "Woodturning, A Foundation Course". Both an apple and a pear are shown!

	Making bananas on the lathe by Yechiel Matalon
In this project, we see how to turn a round shape on the lathe which when cut on the band saw starts looking like a banana. They Yechiel uses a custom wood chuck to hold the shape on the lathe to turn the tips. This wood chuck is very clever and works extremely well. This is a fun looking project with a result that may not look like it was turned on the lathe.
