Tagua Nuts Tagua nuts are often called vegetable ivory. They are a nut from a Palm tree. And subsequently they don't have any grain. So, they are easy and smooth to turn. The tagua nut does have a opening in the middle of the nut which of course, you can't see until you turn into it.
Tagua nuts are great turning material and have been carved for centuries. This is a great natural turning product. | Turning Tagua Nuts by Angelo Iafrate | In this project, Angelo describes how he mounts the nuts for turning. And he talks about the hand-made tools for the hollowing.
Turning tagua nuts can be a fun and exciting challenge. You may be taken with it!! |
