Wood turned fruit is very popular. It's a great display item for your home and looks quite good in a wood turned bowl. Choose your type of fruit as they can all pretty much be turned. Some additional carving might help some of them look more realistic!
|Turning an Apple|
By: John Taylor
In this photo tutorial, John tells us that apples (and I imagine other fruit) sells well at craft fairs. He then explains how he uses a template to get the shape right. This could apply to all kinds of fruit. He then uses a screw chuck, padded by leather to turn the apple shape. This is a very good tutorial to learn the basics of turning fruit!
