#59 - DIY Air Cleaner/Filter... How I built it!
By: Billy Burt
February 22, 2019 · 153 views

With my respiratory issues I've been in need to finish something I had planned on making years ago... an air filtration unit. I've had the squirrel cage for some time, but just didn't have room for it on once we moved back to Texas. Now that I have a proper shop, it's time to finish it and take care of me. Watch and see how I build it. Thanks for watching! And if you are bidding, thank you for that as well! Questions? Shop Project: Dust Collection on a budget
By: Wolf Ridge Woodworking
December 12, 2018 · 268 views

I've been using a similar dust collection to this for a while. It worked great, but my lathe is on the other wall and I had to run a hose across the floor when I used the it. I got tired of stepping over and constantly tripping over the hose. I thought it was time to remedy the situation. In today's video, I will show you how I setup a dust collection system using a Oneida Dust Deputy paired with a shop vac to create a budget friendly dust collection system. This will make cleanup after your woodworking projects a lot easier! Please leave a comment if there are any questions you have. M

Woodturning or Woodworking - Improve your Dust Collection
By: Peter Woodbine
September 27, 2017 · 196,999 views

Making a Dust Separator / Baffle / Cyclone unit. I did a bit of research on YouTube and the internet on this subject to find lots of different ideas and opinions on what works best. Make a Thien-baffle unit, a Cyclone or just 2 pipes into a bucket? All seem to work to an extent. So then I went ahead and made my own version with some inspiration from many but a lot from Marius Hornberger, especially design of the inlet. Thanks Marius. #132 Upgrading My Shopmade Cyclone Dust Collector

Experiencing a catastrophic failure of my wooden impeller inside my shop built dust collector. I put my other projects on hold to get this upgrade completed. I changed the motor from a 1 HP AC to a 2.5 HP DC motor with a speed control to prevent any further impeller failures. This video explains how I did this. Enjoy!! DIY Dust Separator (Thien Baffle)

DIY dust separator. This thing kicks butt. I can go through about 20 contractors bags filled with dust/chips before I clean the filter (and it still looks clean and runs strong). This is the second one I've made. The first was for a shop vac and it worked so well, I had to make one for my dust collector. My Dust Extractor and Camvac Review
By: Jim Overton - Jimson's Stuff
June 15, 2016 · 13,138 views

This is a review of my dust extractor that I built a year ago. It is powered by a twin motor Camvac dust extractor and incorporates a cyclone prefilter with 3 inch inlet and outlet. I have also incorporated a shop built pressure release valve to stock the drum imploding if there is a blockage. No matter how good your dust extractor is it is important to remember to wear a good quality respirator mask. Thanks for watching Jim Overton Disclaimer Woodturning is potentially dangerous! My videos are designed to give viewers creative ideas. The way I work is not necessarily the best or safest way to work! Your safety is your own responsibility not mine. Please follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment. Wear a visor and a respirator dust mask at all times. Be safe, be creative and enjoy your turning.

BAND SAW DUST PORTS DO NOT SUCK!!! By Reed Gray aka Robo HIppy
By: robohippy
February 19, 2016 · 19,320 views

First part to getting most of the dust is to have a port where it all lands, which is what I do. The second part is what Paul Marcel does in this video clip, you refine and direct the air flow so it moves with the way the dust and cuttings are going for more of a funnel effect. Interesting number of comments and solutions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v pRZ2t... Another good link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v tNMrgzgmiMw&index 9&list PLqtTuVwYBfkxbo3B2H_H-jQvTV7EYEJ1t I just found out the fitting I use in my bandsaw dust port is called an ‘end boot’ and can be found at duct supply places, generally not at big box stores.

Ultimate Mini Lathe Dust Collection
By: Peter Stewart
February 19, 2016 · 3,754 views

This video covers how I made a set up for dust collection on my mini lathe. Can this possibly be the greatest set up for dust collection ever? From researching online, it's for sure the most popular for mini lathes. It was extremely successful during the sanding process but it lacked efficiency during the turning process. I think that if it were enclosed more, it might have more suction and would catch more chips, but that would probably be a pain to work around while turning. My Dust Collection System

I recently finished modifying my harbor freight dust collector to a two stage and it's now inside a shed that is just outside my shop. A hose is connected to a pipe that goes through the wall and that pipe goes around my shop with a total of 8 drops to hook up to tools as needed. Testing the Modified Harbor Freight 2HP Dust Collector
By: Peter Stewart
September 04, 2015 · 8,665 views

Here's the test run of my modified dust collector. I built a thein baffle for this dust collector and made up a stand so that I can mount the impeller and motor above the thein baffle. This way, all the chips pass through the thein baffle and only the fine airborne dust goes to the impeller and into the bag. All heavier chips drop into the trash can. The thein baffle slows down the airflow inside the trash can so that the chips don't get whipped up and continue with the airflow. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- contact me: peterturnswood@gmail.com my eBay store: http://www.ebay.com/usr/dste6080

This is the final video for the Turbulator 4000. It is done and ready for installation. This shows the cage and the way the whole home build cyclone separator dust collector works together. Make sure to watch my other two videos about this cyclone: Building a Cyclone Separator Dust Collector code named the Turbulator 4000 In this video I show all the final steps and pieces I use to construct a cyclone dust separator for my wood shop. I am using standard building materials and starting from scratch. I am using a design from Bill Petz, and some things I had laying around the shop. This build has turned out to be way more than I ever expect it would be. I have three videos that show the construction of this project. This is not a dust deputy, or a real clear view cyclone, but I am hoping it works well and stays on budget. Here is some additional info in a second video http://youtu.be/Ship5867jgI Completion video http://youtu.be/FWauZHjjhaA

In this video I continue the Cyclone Dust Separator build. I am showing the flexible hose that I will use as the connection between the Cyclone and the Garbage can, In this video I show more steps and pieces I use to construct a cyclone dust separator for my wood shop. Here is some additional info in the first video http://youtu.be/Ship5867jgI Completion video http://youtu.be/FWauZHjjhaA
