Texturing a Bowl With Paper and Paint
By: Peter Stewart
November 06, 2015 · 987 views

I used a brown paper bag and red acrylic paint as well as water and wood glue to texture the outside of this bowl. I roughed in this bowl out of oak a while ago and it cracked badly. The texturing hid those cracks for the most part as well as gave this bowl a really neat look. See how I rough turned this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v j10elN-CwNY&list PLE2bcZVXSO84px9YMPMvQhkK_KezJUcWR&index 10 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like a Peter Matthew sticker, please send me an email! October 24, 2015 · 1,270 views

This time, I turn a bowl out of beech. I also manages to do some scorching without having to call out the fire service! *** Join me, Chris Fisher, the Blind Wood Turner, in my workshop. I started out in life as a regular guy, working in auto body repair at BMW, until one day, completely out of the blue, a rare virus (Toxoplasmosis) reared its ugly head and caused me to lose my sight in a matter of weeks. Despite the challenges of coming to terms with losing my sight, I refused to give up and, after four years I decided to take up woodturning so that I could make myself a vampire stake – I’

Carving on a bowl, Part 2 Carving and texturing
By: H F Bowern Designs - Harold Bowern
April 08, 2015 · 1,676 views

In this episode of carving on a bowl, I take the bowl from where we had left it and do some addition carving and texturing to the bottom and top sections of the spaceship like bowl.
