Woodturning Zebrawood Potpourri bowl
By: jp woodwork
July 18, 2019 · 683 views

So i purchased a couple of Pewter PotPourri lids from Yandles in the UK in order to make this Zebrawood Potpourri bowl. i gave it a rather simple finish of just sanding up to 320 grit and just applying Yorkshire grit original and then microfine and that was it, i used my Easy wood carbide turning tools and my record power coronet herald lathe to do this project. Huge thanks to the supporters of my Channel: Easy Wood Tools: http://www.easywoodtools.com/ Easy Wood Tools Products in the UK from Yandles: https://www.yandles.co.uk/search/easy... This was one of the Christmas presents I made at the end of 2018. Things didn't quite go to plan after being too vigorous with hollowing out and plans had to change. I believe this is Iroko using the Craftprokits Pewter lids from Axminster tools. Hi This is my first attempt at turning a small potpourri bowl. Also, I've never turned Yew before. The Yew was easy to cut and it was a real pleasure to turn. In the video I've also included some information about the camera and lens I used for close-up detailed work. I hope you like the bowl. If you have any questions or advice, please leave a comment. If you really like my videos, please subscribe to keep informed of new ones. Thanks for watching and happy turning! Cheers. Andrew Note: Video footage was taken using a Sony a6000. All lathe footage was taken using a manually focussed 100mm C

March 10, 2017 · 868 views

This woodturned pot pourri pot has been made from sapele and was created by the Blind Wood Turner. It has a berry design on the pewter lid and was created using the Axminster AT1416VS to make a simple but elegant gift. The use of carbide cutters and the increased power of this woodturning lathe made it a very enjoyable morning in the workshop.. Join Chris, the Blind Wood Turner, in his workshop. After going completely blind in 2008, Chris continually pushes himself to try new woodturning projects on his lathes. The Blind Wood Turner wants the videos to be inspiring and entertaining. Tune in every Friday to catch Chris enjoying and promoting this beautiful art form.

Well when they raise a stink, you can make one of these to house the sweet fragrance of potpourri, or is that potty pourri :) This project is a potpourri container I turned from a chunk of Mahogany. I had bought the pewter container top insert at Lee Valley (the adult toy store). Anyways have fun watching! Most of all thanks for watching, I really do appreciate it. Turning A Segmented Potpourri Box
By: Steve Lindsley
March 11, 2014 · 29,045 views

In this video I show how I make a segmented potpourri box. The box is made from scrap mahogany and sepele. I used a scroll saw to produce the center section of the lid. The pattern came from a book by Judy Gale Roberts titled 'The Great Outdoors'. I resized the pattern to fit on the lid of the box. It was a fun project and made a great gift for my daughter, Amanda. Questions and comments are always welcome.
