Back Scratcher

We've all seen those inexpensive bamboo back scratchers but I'm a wood turner and want a wood turned one! It's a simple as that!

We've seen those fancy wood backscratchers at the store and we've even seen the metal ones that you can use to make a backscratcher but we wanted to make one with woodturning in it.

In this photo tutorial, you'll see all the steps to make this two-piece project. The first piece is a basic spindle which is the handle. And the second piece is the scratcher head. They are connected using mortise and tenon joinery.

This is a fun and simple project and is perfect for those hot summer days with sweat running down your back! I hope you'll give it a try!
